OCTOBER ISSUE OF 002 HOUSTON MAGAZINE
I was so excited to be asked to style the October issue of 002 Magazine. If you are not familiar with the magazine.. it’s about time you get familiar. It’s a local magazine that focuses on fashion, food and what is happening in and around Houston. Everything is shot and produced locally and it’s great to have an opportunity every month to promote local boutiques and designers from around the city. For this particular photo shoot I pulled clothes from:
Baanou: a hidden gem in River Oaks carrying brands that, until now, I’ve only been able to find online (like Style Stalker and Flynne Sky – just to name a few) It has only been open for a few months and they carry limited stock in all of her items so I HIGHLY recommend stopping by and getting on her list so you can get your favorite items before they sell out!
Atrium Ready to Wear: Oscar De La Renta, Jason Wu, Prabal Gurung… need I say more? Luvi (owner) knows just how to fill her store with timeless pieces with attention to detail. So great, in fact, that I wound up selling a few pieces that I pulled for the shoot to a client before I had a chance to return them to the store.
La Mode Lingerie: Don’t let he name fool you. Not only do they have gorgeous underpinnings.. but they also carry clothing, swimwear, jewelry, and accessories: Tom Ford, Jaquie Aiche, Gypsy 05, Lauren Moshi, and the list goes on and on.
Free People Galleria: I love the girls that work here. So stylish and super helpful. Just let them know what you are looking for and they can make magic happen.
Elle Milady: Seriously this sister duo can do no wrong. They recently launched their caftan line and I want to LIVE in everything they design. We just shot their lookbook and their website should be going live soon. In the meantime you can follow them on instagram (@ellemilady) or add yourself to their email list in www.ellemilady.com for notification when their site launches.
Neiman Marcus: its my one stop shop for everything… especially shoes. Go visit my girl Tanja in the shoe department and if she isn’t there grab Tyler the manager (who also happens to be my vote for best dressed male in Houston). They go above and beyond for all of their clients.
DePetra Jewelry: I met these sisters through my friend Carla and am so honored to be friends with such talent. All of their pieces are one-of-a-kind and handmade. I’ll warn you though.. if you ever go to their studio be prepared to walk away with several purchased pieces. It happens to me EVERYTIME!
FatFinds: I also included a few pieces in this shoot that I’ve collected along the way while styling. Pieces that are unique or that I’ve found on sale. I keep these items to sell to clients that I personally style but if there is anything that catches your eye.. shoot me an email. I can give you purchasing information.
I hope you loved the looks as much as we loved putting it all together!
